Thank you for this brave post. Very thought provoking. I also believe that the martyrdom itself had much to do with the effect we have witnessed after his death. The blood of the Martyrs is the seed of the church. 😇🙏
You mentioned: “We need men of courage and conviction these days, but the evangelical leadership that shaped the last generation of pastors trained men to bury their courage.” but that could be expressed more bluntly: “the evangelical leadership that shaped the last generation of pastors trained men to fear the word of Man rather than God.”
The Apostle rejected that approach
“For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ”. (Galatians 1: 10)
Dr. Everett Piper recounts an instance in which his bold proclamation of the truth of God’s design for human sexuality led to a woman who had been living for several years as a man to return to God’s design for her. The story starts at 51:05 in this video, but really the entire podcast is worth watching because the discussion focuses on how evangelical institutions have strayed from their Biblical foundations.
Charlie Kirk’s example and model is worth emulation. Paul said follow me as I follow Christ. I can wholeheartedly recommend that young people and all real pastors follow Charlie as He followed Christ. It’s time to forget woke and wake up to the whole Truth, Conviction, Christian worldview. Leave off this apolitical gospel light. Hitler said “just preach the gospel and stay in your churches. Turn the lights out Pastors and you will have to answer. Turn the lights on Pastors and God will make you unashamed and courageous. Course correction please in the lane Charlie has paved for all of us! Wake up! Time is short, there’s no long game NOW!
Michael uses words like “boldness” and “zeal” (not bad words per se) to define the proper and faithful preaching of the gospel; and he uses words like “inoffensive” to characterize some kind of “progressive” ministry in the vein of Tim Keller, etc.
This raises two prior questions: faithfulness to which gospel? And faithfulness to which god?
(I’m asking a sincere question: the gospel of which god are you trying to be prophetic for?)

Thanks, Pastor Clary for stepping out of tradition and being prophetic. Young men are looking for how God can be relevant in their lives.
Most men have courage if given the opportunity, but in today’s church many times ushering is the highest rung on the ladder.
Yes, the church needs to offer young men a bold, meaningful faith, not coddle and affirm them.

14 years of dealing with machinations, I’m thankful for Christ the King Church and the faithful men who lead there.
So glad to know you brother!
Spot-on, brother.
👊 thanks Tim!
Charlie spoke truthfully about Islam.
The Church of England appeases Islam.
Wells Cathedral: epicentre of Chrislam
A magnificent 8 century old cathedral invited an imam to preach from the Koran!

Kirk certainly adopted a pretty polite position towards gays and lesbians in conservative politics.
What if you’re wrong? What if you in your zeal for prophetic ministry are actually abandoning the Gospel of the Crucified and Risen Jesus?
How so?
